October 8, 2018
|By Rick
We had a fantastic week at Silver Dollar City’s National Craft and Cowboy Festival! We saw many old friends and made many new friends. We shared ‘The Story Of A Stagecoach’ during our programs and also shared our “Great American West’ program with the homeschool groups. Come and see us, we are at SDC until October 27! AND we get to hang out with the amazing Buck Taylor from Gunsmoke, Tombstone, Yellowstone!!!
Rick,
It was with great pleasure that I was able to sit in and listen to you talk about the Silver Dollar City Stagecoach and it’s history, last Wednesday, October 10th.
We had our photo taken together by my wife, and you asked me to sign your guest book.
You see, I was one of those ORIGINAL stagecoach riders back in 1964 when Silver Dollar City first opened it’s gates.
There was the blacksmith shop, the stagecoach ride, and of course, Marvel Cave.
Seeing your stagecoach flooded my mind with memories of my parents, now passed, and of vacationing with my brothers and sister, and we all rode the coach!
I was “misty eyed” as those reminisces came back.
Thank you for sharing your coach with all of us!
